SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR NEXT WEEK
Dear Parents,
Due to ISAT (Illinois State Achievement Testing) in the grades 3 - 5, our specials schedule will be a little bit different next week. We will have Music in the morning on Tuesday and Wednesday (instead of Tuesday and Thursday afternoon). Also, we will have Library on Tuesday morning (instead of Friday afternoon). So, please make sure your child returns his/her library books by Tuesday morning (March 4th) in order to check out new ones.
Another change: *In addition, we have also swapped our Monday afternoon art time. Instead we will have ART on Tuesday from 8:10 - 9:10.

Field Trip REMINDER
JUST A REMINDER THAT:
On Thursday, February 20th the second grade classes will take a field trip to The North Shore Center Youtheater in Skokie. We will see a performance by Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats. This trip correlates to our social studies study of different cultures and traditions, along with learning about Chinese New Year. We will leave school at 8:30 am and return to Irving around 1pm.
The cost of the trip is $10(Cash Only).
Students will need to bring a peanut-free lunch in a disposable container/or a small lunch sack for this trip.
Please return Permission slips and money (Cash only) by Tuesday, February 19th, 2014.
(No chaperones are needed)

Irving Fun Fair, Fundraising and the New Beats!!!!
It is that time of year again! I hope that you will support the NEW BEATS, (Ms. Collins, Ms. Ricchio, Mrs. Sakalleris, Mrs. Parkinson, Ms. Noonan, Ms. Ahearn, Mrs. Solomon and Ms. Kekatos!), as we try to raise the most money for Irving and dance our hearts out!
Beginning, Monday, February 10th, the NEW BEATS will have a jug in the office for fundraising collections for IRVING SCHOOL! The team that raises the most money will get Pies In the Face at the Irving Fun Fair!
The Irving Fun Fair will be held on Saturday, February 22nd. It is a fun day of games, auctions, prizes, performances and fun! We hope that you and your child will come out to enjoy the fun, raise money for our awesome school and support your very own NEW BEATS in our afternoon performance at the fun fair! We will be competing against other staff teams in a talent competition! Please show your support! :)
