Please look through your recycling bin for recycled materials to donate for our "Recycled Art Craft Center" in honor of EARTH WEEK.
*No items that previously contained peanuts please!
You can donate materials this week: Tuesday through Thursday! Thanks for your help!

Earth Week: April 21 - April 25th

The GREEN TEAM wanted to give you a heads up about events that are taking place during Earth Week:  (Click here to view the flyer!)

Monday Muse (Monday April 21):  Monday will be teacher directed (ideas to come from Paul and Betsy).  A day in which poetry, song, and rhyme can be shared with your class related to nature and earth.  Your class can write poetry that can then be shared with the Green Team and posted in the hall.  You can also create Nature Art or Recycled Art and we will find a place to display it for all to see.

SUNNY NOTES for SALE .25 cents buys 1 note or 5 for a dollar.  Great pick-me-up of for your class (and to maybe ensure everyone is included).

Tuesday Green Tuesday (Tuesday April 22):  Actual EARTH DAY.  Encourage your classes to GREEN it up from heads to toes, wigs to shoes.  Let's celebrate Earth!

Wednesday Awareness (Wednesday April 23):  Awareness of Earth's creatures, those endangered or protected.  Bring your favorite stuffed animal, if it is one that is endangered or protected, share info with your class.

Thursday Turn-it-on (Thursday April 24):  Wear YELLOW and celebrate the sun and solar power and energy.  Wear your favorite pair of sunglasses!  SUNNY NOTES DELIVERED!

Farmer Friday (Friday April 25):  Dress like a farmer (organic).  Bring your class to the blacktop at 2:30 and plant seeds. The seeds will then be placed in the Irving Greenhouses and planted into the Irving Butterfly Gardens coming soon to the blacktop.  Celebrate after with music and free time.
